What are cowboy boots?

Agust Hauksson

Cowboy boots are a special kind of boot that a lot of people
wear today. Cowboys do not only wear them anymore. They do not
only wear them in the south and on a farm, people are also
wearing them these days as dress shoes or as everyday shoes. The
design of cowboy boots is unique and distinct. They are
certainly a great shoe for anyone to wear either in a more
dressed up look or on a regular basis.

Cowboy boots have a high and rounded heel and also have a
pointed toe. There are no laces to deal with and no straps to
tighten. Most of the boots that are around are made from
leather. They can be from just about any kind of leather. Most
of the brands are from cowhide, or genuine leather. In addition,
some are constructed out of exotic skins like snake, lizard, eel
and alligator. These are going to be the more expensive boots in
their class.

There are boots to be found in any color. You can get the normal
black or brown and there are also other colors to choose from as
well. Many of the exotic skinned boots come in other colors like
white, gray, tan or even red. Cowboy boots are designed for the
easy insertion of a horse rider's foot into the stirrup of a
saddle on a horse. This is why most of the boots have a pointed
toe. However, the styles are changing and there are some of the
boots that are becoming more rounded at the toe.

Although the shoes are mounted, the tall heel of the boot is
what prevents the foot from sliding out of the stirrup. If this
were to happen to a cowboy on a horse, it could be very
dangerous. However, when the cowboy is dismounting from the
horse, the smooth sole of the shoe is what allows the boot to
easily come free from the stirrup. The tall shaft of the boot is
what helps to hold the boot in place. There are no laces that
are needed to use on a boot.

The shaft of the cowboy boot is also going to be used to protect
the leg from getting scratched or bumped while riding or
working. In the south, it was very normal for the farm workers
to wear cowboy boot while they were working. There are many
people who still use these boots as their everyday work boots.
They find them very comfortable and easy to work in.

With more and more people wearing cowboy boots on a regular
basis, there are more and more companies coming out with newer
styles. You can find these great boots just about anywhere and
in any store. Since they are becoming so popular, cowboy boots
have even come down in price and you can find a great pair for
an affordable price.

Tips On How To Buy Golf Shoes And Apparel

Jim Johnson

Wearing the right golf apparel can have a large impact on how
much you enjoy the game. Really, you should consider the
clothing that you wear for each round as part of your golf
equipment. It's just that important!

Acceptable golf apparel has changed radically over the years
since golf's birth, as early golfers used to wear jackets and
ties as they went around the course. In fact, many modern-day
observers of the game feel that the kind of restrictive clothing
that the early golfers wore had an adverse impact on their
scores, simply because the apparel did not allow for much
freedom of movement.

As golf continue to make progress and become more popular, the
styles began to change and knickers became very popular for a
long time. In the 1960s and and 1970s a shift to more
comfortable clothing was made by many of the top players,
although some of the styles would be considered loud by today's
standards.

Since that time, a lot of progress has been made in developing
fabrics and materials for golf apparel that make the game more
comfortable to play under most conditions. And so today, there
is a wide range of style that is acceptable on most golf
courses, as the emphasis has shifted more to comfort instead.

Many of the newer, more modern fabrics are very good at wicking
moisture away from the skin as we perspire. This has a tendency
to make the golfer feel much more comfortable as they complete
their round. So when looking for golf apparel, try to look for
some of these newer fabrics as they will most likely have a
positive effect on your enjoyment of the game. And make sure to
buy golf apparel that will allow for easy, freedom of movement
throughout your swing.

Golf shoes are an important part of your ensemble, as they not
only contribute toward your appearance but also can
substantially help improve your game. The golf swing calls for a
lot of torque and motion in your body as it rotates to build
that the energy needed for the golf shot. And because of that
rotation, it's very easy for your footing to slip out of place.
Having a good set of golf shoes helps solve that problem by
anchoring your feet to the ground instead.

These days, golf shoes come in all kinds of styles and designs
so it's easy to find something that fits your personality. But
the most important part of the golf shoe is what is underneath
that holds you to the ground. In the past you could expect to
see metal spikes on the bottom of almost every golf shoe made,
but more modern golf shoes employ dimpled plastic spikes instead
that still do a good job of giving you a solid foundation for
your swing, and yet are easier on the golf course itself.

Another piece of golf apparel that should not be overlooked is a
rain suit, as it's very easy to encounter rain in most parts of
the country while you are playing a round of golf. If you happen
to be far away from the clubhouse when the rain begins, having a
good rain suit to put on can be really handy.

If you use the practical considerations that are listed above
for golf apparel and golf shoes you should be able to make a
good choice on the golf products that you buy.

Men's Dress Shoes Fashions

Bilal Babic

The dress shoe may seem uninteresting, but it is anything but.
In an age when tennis shoes and sneakers are worn all around,
men's dress shoes may not be as popular, but they display the
distinctness within those that are severe and the posers. There
is a big array of styles, and it revolves on what you are
looking for. Men's dress shoes go from borderline casual to very
deluxe, and can adapt to any situation. It appears that leather,
canvas, and suede are all highly used components for men's dress
shoes.

Men's dress shoes that people picture are the monotonous black
shoes with thin laces that we all learned to dread as kids.
However, dress shoes have changed a lot since then. The big
difference is that the sole has undergone some alterations,
going away from the wooden and plastic soles to rubber ones,
allowing for more comfort. Also, there are more models
available, with wingtips and penny-loafers making a revival.
What styles are popular this summer can be read here: href="http://www.mensflair.com/news-trends/summer-dress-shoes-tre
nd.php"
target="_blank">http://www.mensflair.com/news-trends/summer-dress
-shoes-trend.php.

The dress shoe has been approved to dress down, with some shoes
being derived from moccasins. However, Italian shoes still
continue to reign, with New York and London being close. As
sneakers become more popular, they have been mixed with more
moderate men's dress shoes to create blends; although looked
down, they are becoming popular with fashionable styles.

Also of note are dress versions of sandals, which are catching
on as more people take on more holistic lifestyles. Even though
not a dress shoe, but that they are being worn in more formal
settings is of note, as well as the controversy that they have
actualised in regards to formal wear, especially as "tribal"
fashions come and go in fashion circles, and New Age beliefs
continue to take hold. It will be interesting to see if sandals
ever crossover from women's fashion, or will be a really male
footwear.

It is interesting to note that wingtips and penny-loafers are
fashionable due to a shift of nostalgia. As more modern styles
become attainable, new designers are continually trying to
update the classics, if for no other cause than to see what
modern materials can do to old classics. At the same time, boots
are also being taken more seriously than in past, possibly due
to an interest in western music and Texas' rise in popularity.
These dress boots are made of different leather than usual
boots, as well as having more apparent needlework.

In short, there are an expansive variety of dress shoes
available, and it is up to you what style you will wear, from
the conventional to almost fun.

Nike Air Force Ones

Emma Drosy

In 1983 the Nike shoe company released a plain white sports shoe
called the Nike Air Force One. Nothing in particular was special
about the design or make of the shoe, save that it was a quality
sneaker intended for sportswear in a market where good sneakers
were growing in popularity. Following the release of the white
Nike Air Force One came other colors but still a middling
success. Then in 1986 Michael Jordan took to the courts sporting
red and black Nike Air Force Ones. Almost over night the
popularity of the shoe boomed.

With prices ranging from $70 to $80 for the standard white or
black Nike Air Force One and up to $300 for customized colors
and logos this modest shoe has continued to hold a market share
ever since.

Corresponding with the release and growth in popularity of the
Nike Air Force One shoes was the growth of the Hip Hop movement
and the growing popularity of Hip Hop clothing. Hip-hop fashion
had begun to gain a foothold in the late seventies and continued
to climb as a major culture and fashion through out the
eighties. Marked by clothing with a distinctly African American
influence the early Hip Hop fashion included the wearing of
large glasses, gold necklaces, rings on many fingers, oversized
clothing in pallets of red, black and green and an emphasis on
brand name footwear that was comfortable and reflective of
personal style.

The Nike Air Force Ones became very popular as a brand of
footwear within the Hip Hop fashion culture. Bright colored with
over sized laces, or white sneakers peaking out from under
overlong pants Nike Air Force Ones maintained their hold on the
Hip Hop market through the late eighties, nineties and continue
to hold a strong place now. Whether high top, low cut or
standard height these shoes that were once mostly for sporting
uses are now a casual wear footwear seen on the streets and in
the classroom as well as on the basketball court.

Currently there are many stores that sell the brand name Nike
Air Force Ones, prices ranging from $70 upward, averaging out a
bit over $100. In order to combat these prohibitive prices
online websites such as urbanhotlist.com have appeared, offering
discounted prices on these shoes as well as other popular brand
names.

There are both advantages and disadvantages when it comes to
working with an online sales site, like urbanhotlist.com. There
is access to a much broader base of merchandise, in this case
additional colors and styles of shoes that might not be
available in stores and pricing can be kept reasonable, even
after shipping and handling. For these reasons, among others,
websites like urbanhotlist have become popular with consumers.
Customers must be sure to get a good refund policy before
placing an order, so that any defects or sizing problems can be
easily addressed.

As long as this movement continues it seems that Nike will have
a hit with their Nike Air Force One shoes and consumers will
have places to go to get what they want for the price they want
to pay.

Formal Wear - A Man's Guide To Dressing With Style

sacha Tarkovsky

When dressing formally all you need to follow some basic easy
rules and you will instantly have a stylish classic.

The right look with formal wear for a man is easy, if you follow
the tips below:

The suit

The suit is very important and is the building block of your
formal look.

1. Style

You can't go wrong with a single-breasted suit. Solid colors
should be used such as black, grey or dark blue

A single-breasted suit will make you look slimmer and leaner a
double breasted one will make you look fatter - So this is the
safe best option.

A stylish suit can present a multitude of images, all of them
good!

A suit can have various looks it can make you look in control,
dynamic, mature, conservative, or even sexy! Women love the look
and you will do when you doing it correctly

2. Fabrics / Patterns

Wool is a good option to buy. With care It will always look
good, wears well and their variety to choose from. Worsted wools
by nature are lightweight and ideal for the warmer months.

Gabardine wools are heavier and will keep you warm in the
winter. Wool Crepes are lightweight with softer finishes.
Flannel wools are heaviest.

With regard to patterns for formal suits these are limited to
solids, stripes (pinstripe, chalk stripe, beaded-stripe,
multistripe) plaids, and checks (hounds-tooth, windowpane and
herringbone).

The Shirt

Men with lean faces should choose collars that are wide, to help
broaden their faces; on the other hand, men with wider faces
should wear collars that are narrow to help to give the image of
a longer face.

Ties

Today, formal wear does not necessarily mean having to wear a
tie. You will see people such as Bill Gates and Richard Branson
not wear ties and it's perfectly acceptable.

However, wearing a tie can add a real focal point to your look
and if you choose correctly a collar and tie looks great

If you want to make a strong statement wear a patterned tie with
a patterned shirt, make sure that the colors are the same and
that the patterns go in the same direction.

Don't forget the Length it's very important where your tie
finishes:

It should hit the top of your belt buckle and t he ideal width
of ties is between 3 and 4 inches.

Combining Tie's Shirts & Suits

When choosing a jacket-shirt-and-tie trio, match its level of
color contrast to your complexion and hair color.

If you're coloring is one of high-contrast i.e. dark hair and
light skin, or vice versa--your jacket, tie, and shirt combo
should be high contrast, too.

If your hair-hide contrast is softer and lighter i.e. you're
blond or gray-haired with pale skin, or dark-skinned with dark
hair--you need to wear clothing with a lower contrast.

When you're wearing two like patterns in the jacket-shirt-tie
triangle, they should be of different gauges.

If your suit has pinstripes 3/4 inch apart, your tie should have
significantly broader or thinner bands. If your suit is a
striped one (with lines more than an inch apart), your shirt's
stripes then should be narrower.

If for example, you wear two different designs within the lapel
triangle a checked shirt and a striped tie, or a striped suit
and a medallion tie--They need to be different scales in size If
your shirt has a narrow stripe, your tie needs to be the
opposite. Deflect

Choose clothes that deflect attention from your extremes in
terms of your body.

If you're short, look for strong vertical lines such as
pinstriped suits, two-button jackets. If on the other hand
you're thin, choose a jacket with wider shoulders. If you are of
a heavier build then Wear darker colors that are monotone from
top to bottom.

Watches

With regard to accessories this is the only one you really need.
A watch which has a large face are seen by everyone as stylish.

Forget earrings medallions and lots of rings! The only accessory
a man needs is a watch the others should not be worn, rings can
be if subtle and only a few.

belts

You want to buy quality and this doesn't have to be expensive.

Your belt color should be coordinated with your footwear and
suit - black with black, brown with brown.

Shoes

Black is the traditional safe color for work but Brown and ox
blood can also look stylish.

You can also use a variety of styles including loafers,
wingtips, round-toe, or the trendy pointy-tipped shoe.

Don't economize on quality. For men, shoes are the final touch
and are one of the things that most people will notice great
suit and look and scuffed or dirty shoes! - Don't make this
mistake

So there you have it. Follow the guidelines above and you will
look the business, feel good and get admiring glances from women
as well as a bonus!

Boot Cut vs. Tapered: The Best Jeans?

Brian Johansson

When it comes to finding the perfect pair of jeans comfort is
everything. You should ideally be looking for the perfect mix of
style and comfort. Jeans need to look good but more importantly
feel good. When it comes to selecting a pair I think it is
always best to go to several stores that specialize in denim and
try on a few pairs until you find what works for you. One of the
important aspects of a pair of jeans is whether or not they will
work with the rest of your wardrobe. Your choice of shoes can
dictate how wide you want the ankle of your jeans to be cut.

Boot cut jeans are jeans that fit normally throughout the rest
of the jean, but the ankle of the jean is cut wider to allow
them to sit lower and more comfortable over a pair of shoes.
Tapered jeans are cut with a slimmer ankle that is tighter as
the leg goes down. If you are looking for a more comfortable
look that is cut to be worn with many of today's shoe styles you
may want to look into boot cut jeans. Since jeans are becoming
more acceptable in the business world they are often being worn
with dressier shoes and need to be a little wider to allow for
the shoes to look natural with the jeans. Tapered jeans tend to
be more traditional looking and are popular especially in women.
Most men's jeans are being cut a little wider to sit more
comfortably without feeling constricted. Some men still choose
to go with tapered jeans if they often wear taller boots.

Whatever your decision make sure to try on several pairs from
several different companies before making your decision.
Remember to think about your wardrobe when making your decision.

Sexy Shoes

John White

What makes a pair of shoes sexy shoes? It has a lot to do with
the way the shoes fit, feel and the look that they provide to
those looking. Sexy shoes are something that all women should
have at least at some point in their lives. Just like having
that sexy black dress, the shoes can do the same thing. When you
wear them, you will feel more confident, more beautiful as well
as more amazing. Simply slip a pair on and see what it feels
like. You'll never go back.

What makes a shoe sexy, though? First off, it should be
something that you enjoy wearing. You'll want to make sure that
you are both physically and emotionally prepared for this shoe.
On the physical note, you'll want to make sure the shoe fits
just right. It should not be too tight where the foot is bulging
out the top or sides. It should not be so loose, though, as it
could come flying off if you kicked it. On the emotional level,
a shoe is sexy when you feel that it is. For example, if you
walk confidently and proudly, the shoe and your entire being
will be sexy. If you stumble around, no matter what type of shoe
you put on, it will not look at all sexy.

What They Look Like

What do sexy shoes look like? In many cases, the first thing
that comes to mind is a high healed, black strap shoe. It can
have straps that wrap part way up the leg. It can be a pointed
toe, shiny or dull. It can be any look or feel that you love,
though. For many, a sexy shoe can be a flat too. For others it
can be something that has a lot of color and a trendy look. The
only rule for it to be a sexy shoe is that you need to feel as
if it is the sexy look that you are after.

Throughout the web you will find some very amazing shoes.
You'll find those that are obviously sexy and those that are
just devilish. They are available in all sizes, colors, and
styles to fit your specific tastes. You'll love the way that you
feel, the way that you look and the way that others look at you
when you are wearing a sexy shoe like this. If you plan to go
out on the town tonight, the best way to complete that great
looking black dress is with a sexy shoe.

Mens Dress Shoes

John White

Men's dress shoes say a lot about the man that is wearing them.
There are many styles and looks that are excellent no matter
what level of work they are in. But, having just the right pair
of dress shoes on a guy can make that man, well, just more
professional, elegant and sophisticated looking. Yes, you can be
one of the many that actually finds himself looking for a great
pair of shoes. These will be shoes you will want to stop and
have shined in fact.

One mistake many people make when purchasing men's dress shoes
is that they are looking for a shoe that is great looking. Sure,
you would like the shoe to look amazing, but before you choose
based on looks alone, you need to give your feet the opportunity
to try them on. Now, when you are looking for men's shoes on the
web, you can not easily do this. Yet, many of the manufacturers
on the web will actually allow you to send them back if they are
not the right size or do not feel the way that you would like
them to. So, you do have this option.

Comfort Counts

If you are wearing a pair of men's dress shoes and they are not
comfortable, just imagine the look on your face when you are
walking in them. If our feet are not happy, the rest of us are
not either. What you will want to do, then, is to purchase shoes
that are well fitted for your feet. One of the best ways to do
this is to do it with the custom made designers. Dress shoes
that are custom made are ideal because they will feel completely
comfortable throughout the time that you wear them.

Quality Too

Quality counts in dress shoes as well. You should spend a
decent amount of money on the dress shoes that you choose. If
they are poor quality they are less likely to last you. While
they may cost you less right now, in the long run, they will
cost more because you will need to replace them or, even worse,
you'll have medical problems with your feet because of them.
Look for high quality men's dress shoes and you will be far
better off. They should support your feet completely.

Choosing the right pair of men's dress shoes does not need to
be difficult. You can even do it right on the web and completely
avoid all of those other people out there that are trying to
push shoes on to you. Look for what you love, when you want to
and get the very best choice for your feet.

Ballroom Dancing-Let's Talk Shoes

Honey Wesley

Ballroom dancing, like most other sports, (and if you don't
believe it's a sport, get out there and do swing dancing for an
hour or so and see if you don't work up a sweat) has it's own
'uniform' of sorts, including the style of clothing as well as
the type of shoes worn. That varies, of course, depending on
whether you're going to class, a studio dance or a competition.

I often hear the question - 'What kind of shoes should I wear to
dance in? It's my opinion that the very best choices for
footwear are those designed especially for ballroom dancing and
even more specifically for the exact dance style you plan to be
doing. But until such time as you decide to reward yourself with
that sexy strappy Latin shoe with the Cuban heel for the cha-cha
or rhumba, or a gorgeous sequined number for the elegant waltz,
practicing in street shoes is perfectly acceptable.

Now...having said that, let me quickly add that not just any
street shoe will do. Styles that should be avoided include
anything with rubber soles, like sneakers, (they just don't give
you the slide you need on the floor), open-toes (for obvious
reasons, you're still learning and chances are so is your
partner), such as sandals or (heaven forbid) flip-flops! And
yes, I've actually seen people show up for class wearing flip
flops! Try to execute a double spin in those!

But, if you have a leather soled shoe, such as a loafer-type, or
for men, a dress shoe style, these will usually accomodate you
nicely. The most important factor is that they must be
comfortable and not tight on your feet. If your feet are aching,
you'll soon be unable to focus on anything else.

The dance floor itself plays a part in the comfort level of your
feet. Some studios have the proper flooring for dancing, which
usually includes a cushiony, almost spring-like underflooring.
This type floor enables dancers to dance for hours without
feeling much effect...IF their shoes are also adequately
comfortable. But some dance studios are built on a concrete
slab, with only a layer of hardwood over it, and on those floors
your poor feet will take a pounding.

When the time comes that you decide to invest in a good pair of
dance shoes, shop around a bit. Prices and styles vary and the
selection is almost endless. Prices can range from $30-50 on the
low end to well over $200 on the high end. Dance shoes are
designed not only to be best suited for dancing, but to enhance
the overall aesthetics of your dance...you'll simply look better
out there on the floor.

Many of the features of dance shoes serve practical purposes.
The ankle straps are not just eye-appealing, they actually help
your feet stay firmly in your shoes. Some of the pump styles
have elasticized rims on the uppers which 'hugs' the shoe to
your foot. The heels are different heights and widths, depending
on the style of dance they're designed for. The soles are
typically suede, which gives you the ability to literally
'glide' as you dance across the floor, and are especially
helpful when doing turns and spins.

To preserve the life of these suede soles, dance shoes should
never be worn outside. Two other accessories that will extend
the wear of your dance shoes - a carrying case for transporting
them, and a sole brush to lift the nap of the suede every couple
of weeks or so.

One final note - dance shoes (or any other shoe, for that
matter) should be tried on in the late afternoon or evening,
when your feet are typically at their largest. You'll be
requiring a lot of your feet over the span of your dancing
experience...treat them right, dress them properly and you'll
have a great foundation on which to build a lifetime of ballroom
dancing.

Birkenstocks - Comfortable Sandals That Are Good For Your Back

Helen Walters

Do you know where the term "footbed" comes from? Most people
have no idea that the term originated with the revolutionary
sandal maker Konrad Birkenstock a 19th century shoemaker from
Germany. Before Birkenstock shoes were all made with completely
flat soles and had no arch support. They developed a revolution
in shoe making by designing footwear that matched the actual
shape of a person's foot.

Initially their idea was sold as an insert to be used in other
shoes that had no shape. Their company took off as a major
manufacturer of orthopedic inserts. They were called "footbed
supports" and the term 'footbed' became a legal trademark of the
Birkenstock company.

As time went by they realized that their novel footbed support
concept could be extended into different types of footwear that
they could make themselves. The original sandals they developed
were intended to give the wearer a near barefoot experience
while still providing fantastic support and protection of the
wearer's sole. Little did they realize how much of a revolution
they would create in the shoe and footwear industry.

People quickly found that not only were they comfortable, but
they also helped greatly with many foot and back problems by
providing the arch support and proper fit that had been missing
in shoes and sandals to that point. Today Birkenstock sandals
and other footwear are frequently 'prescribed' by podiatrists as
part of normal care for people with foot, lower leg, and back
problems. In particular the 'heel-less sandals' are known to
greatly strengthen and tone calf muscles.

>From their humble beginnings as simple shoemakers, Birkenstocks
have become producers of some of the most recognized shoes and
sandals in the world. They are available in hundreds of styles,
materials and colours that will suit just about anyone's needs
and personality. And they have done it by sticking to their
basic philosophy: make them comfortable and make them last.

Women's Fashion Footwear: 9 Shoes You Must Have

Stephanie Pedersen

If you're like most women, you have dozens upon dozens of
sandals, sneakers, loafers, flip-flops, boots, and other
footwear. But how many of them do you love? Really love? How
many fit well, complement your fashion sense, and are versatile
enough to serve multiple purposes? Moreover, how many of these
shoes do you really need? You may be surprised to learn that the
following nine must-haves are the only styles required to create
a shoe wardrobe so all-encompassing, so perfect, that no matter
what the occasion is, you'll have just the right shoe.

1. Two or three pairs of expensive-looking shoes for a
work.
Study what your boss is wearing then get yourself two
great-looking pairs of similar shoes. Not only will you always
look appropriate and stylish. you'll always have a pair clean
and ready should one need to go to the cobbler. Need style
suggestions? Go with pumps. Not only are pumps flattering and
easy to wear, they are the quintessential woman's work shoes,
especially for those working in offices, banks, or upscale
shops. Opt for a dark or medium neutral. Think black, chocolate,
cordovan (an old-fashioned word for cherry-kissed brown), or
even burgundy, navy, or charcoal.

2. One warm-weather work shoe. Your best bet is a
two-part pump--or one with peep toes-- in a light shade such as
tan, beige or dove gray.

3. One pair of slingbacks in a neutral shade. They look
chic with straight skirts and classic-cut trousers. They can be
worn with bare legs or opaque winter stockings. Plus, they work
well with formal and near-formal wear, they add sophistication
to jeans, and instantly dress up a denim skirt and cardigan like
nothing else can.

4. One pair of strappy dress sandals to wear with formal or
semi-formal attire.
They can sex-up a pair of jeans, too.
Best colors: a mid-tone or pale neutral, including metallics
such as silver or gold.

5. One pair of neutral-colored casual shoes for weekends.
A woman can never go wrong with classics such as oxfords,
moccasins, loafers, or clogs.

6. One pair of attractive athletic shoes. They're
good-enough-looking for your Juicy Couture tracksuit, yet
hard-working enough to perform at the gym.

7. One pair of fashion boots in a medium or dark neutral.
Something classic enough for work-wear yet sexy enough to add an
edge to jeans and an everyday tee. Top-of-the-calf boots with a
flat heel are one of the cold weather season's hottest looks,
but are surprisingly in-demand even as the weather grows warmer.

8. Two or more pair of casual, warm weather shoes in a pale
neutral or fashion color.
Think sandals, ballet slippers, or
flip-flops done up in a dressy material like leather. Consider
yourself a die-hard fashionista? Find a pair of espadrilles with
a low to medium heel. Espadrilles are one of 2006's most coveted
warm-weather trends.

9. One pair of galoshes or other weather-protective
footwear.
If you spend a good amount of time outdoors, go
with two pairs . Be sure one is a classic style, such as Hunter
Wellingtons in navy, green, red, pink or pale blue.

So ladies, clean out your closets, and stop spending money on
shoes you don't absolutely love or that does not fit well,
complement your style and is not versatile to serve multiple
purposes. If you follow the above tips you will create a woman's
fashion footwear wardrobe, that no matter what the occasion is,
you will have the perfect shoe.

How to buy quality running shoes at a discount prices

Malcolm Silberman

One would think purchasing a pair of running shoes would be a
fairly simple matter. Sadly, or probably for the better, it has
become quite an involved process. I would suggest you visit a
local store before attempting to purchase online. The key aspect
is to understand your foot profile. In truth this is not a
difficult task and certainly doesn't need fancy computer
technology.

Visit and obtain your profile as far as arches type, strike type
and over prontaros. Once you have this information find you
category using the guide below;

-Motion control : for runners with low arches, moderate to
severe over pronators with maximum rear foot control and extra
support on the arch side of the shoe, eg. bigger runners.
-Stability : mild or moderate over pronators, low to normal
arches, shoes has a combination of good support and mid sole
cushioning. -Neutral cushioned: maximum mid sole cushioning and
minimum medial support, bio mechanically efficient runners, mid
foot or forefoot strikers with high or normal arches.
-Performance Training: for racing, generally lighter, if you are
bio mechanically efficient you can use them for training.

So that is step one in your process. Next is to establish how
and where you can find nicely discounted shoes, and also grasp a
basic insiders guide to the athletic shoe market.

The basic industry premise is that new product sells at a
premium as older models are off loaded through various channels.
Therefore you could hope for discounts on new items from 10% to
probably a maximum of 20% and all the way up to 40% on older
year models. However it is still possible to find discounts on
eBay on the newest styles, especially if they are very lightly
worn. Think about it, trying on and testing running shoes is
difficult at best. Therefore many runners discard a pair after a
first light run. There is a nice fluid market for both new and
slightly used running shoes on eBay.

With a large volume of most shoe brands being traded everyday,
this is the ideal efficient market. One can study the dynamics
of this micro-market and determine some useful buying rules.
With a little more information than the rest of the marketplace,
one can almost certainly make some intelligent buying
opportunities. This article focuses on how to identify these
gaps and often purchase running shoes for 20-40% below retail.

This article should be read together with my longer piece and a
web site, which produces the information required to identify
buying nuggets. Find the links and URL's to these two sites at
the bottom of this article. The niche site focuses specifically
and only on data from the runners shoe market.

Most information on eBay focuses on the selling element, i.e.
how to sell your shoes. I have tended to specialize on the
buying end and trying to identify market opportunities and price
in-efficiencies to really capture excellent deals. To do this we
need to understand the dynamics of the eBay market place. Like
any other market it is supply demand driven, and like a large
flee-market if a buyer has knowledge of how many items are for
sale at what prices and how many other buyers are in the market,
then that buyer can capture the upper hand. Lets focus a little
more on supply.

The eBay supply dynamic is a little different in that supply of
an item must be seen at a point in time. In other words, because
auctions end at different times, one needs to grasp the number
of auctions ending in close proximity for the same item. This
gives you a feel for the supply of items or in our case cameras.
What makes this interesting is that today there could be a large
amount of auctions ending for a particular model, but next week
there could be very few. This is one element driving the price.

The demand side is slightly more complex and hidden from the
average eBay buyer. This is where that the web site I refer to
at the bottom has some useful data. Demand in eBay terms is
measured (by sellers) as a number of factors - how many people
view my auction, how many people ask questions, how many people
place me on their watch page, and how many people actually bid.
Obviously as we progress down this list the data become more
reliable as an indication of demand. Page views are not easy to
obtain, although some sellers place a publicly viewable counter
on their auction pages. Questions and watchers are available to
sellers, and the special web site mentioned below will expose
this information. Number of bids is available for all to see.

Now if we happened to produce a graph as the auction progresses
of the changes in the number of questions, watchers and bid's
one can easily see how the demand is changing as time
progresses. Typically if questions are high and watchers are
high, but bids are low, this may indicate some confusion and a
possible buy opportunity. If watchers are very high and
climbing, but bids are low, this can point to a last minute
bidding war, and a stay out indicator.

Armed with this information and also a quick summary of other
similar auctions ending soon, plus a quick feel for the skill
set of the seller and the current highest bidder, one can see a
picture very different from the average eBay buyer. Soon the
trained eye will observe some nice buying opportunities. For the
professional or amateur runner this will soon bring in a number
of athletic shoe buys that are quite a bit cheaper than retail.
For example it is quite possible to find gems at 20-40% of
retail prices. Sometimes a lightly used athletic shoe will offer
some unique bargains and discounts, especially if you are
comfortable with a brand and model.

Priceless Tips For Finding The Perfect Basketball Shoe

David Huizar

What basketball shoe you wear is a crucial part of your game,
especially at the competitive level. Oh, sure you can play in
any pair of tennis shoes but you risk the chance of sliding,
being slowed down by weak grip or worse of all, injury.
Competitive ball players take their basketball shoes very
seriously. I know I do. In today's market there are so many
different styles of bball shoes. So how do you choose what's
best for your game? There are a few important things to look for
in your shoes. By nature, basketball puts a lot of wear and tear
on your shoes. All the constant starting, abrupt stopping, high
jumps and quick side-to-side movements really take it's toll. So
what do I look for in a basketball shoe? I'm glad you asked. The
most important factors are durability, support, traction,
comfort and for most ballers, style. DURABILITY: Have you ever
seen the movie "Like Mike"? Lil Bow Wow plays an orphan boy who
finds a pair of magic shoes with "MJ" written on the tongue. He
suddenly has super bball skills. Anyway, in the most important
game of the season "Calvin" drives the lane and gets fouled.
When he gets up his magic shoes have completely fallen apart.
Magic shoes or not you want to make sure that never happens to
you. Buy quality shoes. And yes, sometimes that means paying a
little more. SUPPORT: Different types of players require
different types of support. Power players like "Shaq" need high
tops with maximum ankle support and comfort. All-around players
like "Kobe" or "T-Mac" usually will wear a midsole type of shoe
and speedsters like "Iverson" wear low tops for light weight and
non-restriction of the ankles. TRACTION: Have you ever played on
the hardwood floor of a gym that didn't clean the floors? Your
slipping, sliding away and it's hard to cut and slice your way
to the hoop. Wearing the wrong shoes can have the some results.
You must be able to stop and start on a dime. Look for good
traction on both the forefoot and the heel. COMFORT: The goal is
to find a basketball shoe that fits like a glove. You don't want
your foot to be swimming in any area. Since the toes, arch and
heel all have different needs for comfort, you want a shoe that
provides comfort in each area and still provide the support you
need for your type of game. STYLE: And, of course, you gotta
look good on the court. Whether you're wearing the "Jordan
Retro", the "T-Mac 5", the "Air Zoom Kobe I" or either of the
"Answer 1 - 9" pair of shoes, style is definitely key. The
bottom line is you must think of your shoes as an investment in
your game. If you're looking to excel, then don't cheat yourself
when it comes to your gear, especially your shoes. The right
pair will not only help you play at top level but most
importantly help prevent injury. If you're hurt you can't play!
So go get some quality kicks and get out there and play!

What do Women Want - Ugg Boots

Allison Thompson

The Ugg Boot has become the latest fashion item that every
woman seems to want. Now days you will find that the window
displays of any clothing or shoe store across the world will
have a pair of these trendy boots in it. It looks like Ugg Boots
are here to stay. Although these boots are hot in fashion terms
you will find that people are not just wearing them when the
weather is cold. Many people have found that one pair of these
boots is just not enough. One of their greatest assets is that
they come in a multitude of different styles, size, fabrics and
colours. You also do not need to know someone living in
Australia to get you a pair, around the globe these are the best
selling boots at the moment and all you have to do is search the
internet and you will find countless sites selling them.
However, once you have got them then you will want to leave your
house to show them! With Ugg Boots being made in so many
different sizes you will find a pair for every member of your
family. They come in full and half sizes and any size in
between, all you need to do is be willing to spend the time
searching for the right pair for you. But there is no need to
worry as you will in time find the perfect pair for you.
However, the real problem you may have once you have found your
size is what colour do you want them in. There are the natural
colours (brown and sand) or you can be somewhat more daring, and
say go for a pink or blue pair. In fact the choice seems to be
endless where colour is concerned. You may find yourself
purchasing more than one pair, could you imagine owning several
different coloured pairs of Ugg Boots that would match your mood
perfectly. If you wanted to be noticed and shout here I am then
Red may be the ideal colour for you, but if you want people to
think you are sweet and girly, then may be you should buy pink.
However, if you just want them for comfort and to add a casual
look to your ensemble then try for a natural colour or even
black. Whatever you decide you may find that one pair is just
not enough. Now you have decided on the colour, the next think
you need to think about is the height of the boot, do you want a
short, long or three quarter length the choice is yours. The
decision has been made on colour and length, now what do you
need to choose? How about the style, many of the longer length
boots can be found with additional detail to the outside of the
boot and this seems to add a more feminine touch to the boot.
Whilst if you need a practical style of boot that will be warm
and comfortable you may want to look at the styles that have a
tough molded sole and have extra reinforcement to them in the
toe and heel areas. You can now get versions that come with
zippers, straps and elasticized sides which help to vary the
style and look of this footwear. Finally after all the decisions
made above you need to consider what sort of fabric you want
them made out of, as now not only do the Ugg Boots come in a
sheepskin version but they are also available in leather and
suede. However, don't forget that only high quality Ugg Boot are
always lined with Australian Merino Sheepskin, and try to avoid
the imitations that abound. One further little matter that any
right minded woman should be thinking about when purchasing
footwear not just Ugg Boots is the sole. With Ugg Boots you have
the choice of big and clunky or smooth soles. So as you can see
the choice of style, colour, size and material used just seems
to be endless and now with the inclusion of a slipper and a clog
version you are even more stuck for choice. So no matter what,
the "in" thing for your closet this year are Ugg Boots and you
are sure to find a pair that is within your budget.

Why Italian Shoes Really Are The Best Quality

Lucy Bartlett

Most of us consider shoes made or styled in Italy as the
ultimate in fashion. When we say Italian shoes it conjures a
picture of good craftsmanship, style and quality. Italian
designers are the most acclaimed footwear designers in the
world. The Italian designers perfectly understand the anatomy of
the leg and foot so they make shoes look their best.

Italian footwear is available in several varieties such as full
length boots, slip-ons, mid-calf boots, sandals, loafers and
wedges. When selecting Italian shoes, care should be taken to
avoid the tasteless, shiny and creaky shoes which many merchants
try to pass on as finest Italian shoes.

The Italians are still using the traditional methods of
shoemaking and tanning which indicates that good materials are
used for the lining and uppers which are hand sewn. Even though
such hand crafted shoes should cost higher than the shoes
produced on a large scale using machinery, due to the severe
competition from Far Eastern shoe makers who also offer hand
crafted shoes, the Italians are forced to offer good quality
shoes at cheaper prices without compromising on quality.

There are different styles of men's Italian shoes such as
handmade black leather Oxford shoes, black Italian Oxford dress
shoes, men's dark brown leather Oxford shoes, men's dark brown
lace-up shoes and brown calf leather Oxford shoes. The prices of
these shoes range from the low $330 to the high $560.

Brunori men's black Italian ankle strap boots are classic boots
with elastic gore insets. These black coloured shoes are made
from genuine leather and boast style, quality and fine
craftsmanship. When ordering these shoes, care must be taken to
select the correct size since the sizes run large. Select a size
smaller than your regular size for a good fitting. These shoes
are priced around $480

For casual wear but without foregoing the daytime classic style,
try the handmade Pakerson Today which are available in beige and
tan

For exclusive hand made shoes you can try Forzieri brown cap toe
dress shoes. These shoes combine the excellent traditional
craftsmanship with some new original designs. They are most
suitable for business meetings or for occasions which need a
stylish appearance. They are priced around $500.

For women, there are soft Italian leather boots with a luxurious
feel, side button and short zip available for only $150. These
ladies Italian shoes are available in three colours namely,
tobacco, brown and black.

The Quai D'Orsay pump shoes in black patent leather enhances its
dramatic flair and are meant for sophisticated and chic women.
The price range is around $160.

Best Shoes for Working Women

Leigh A. Zaykoski

All over the world, millions of women go to work each day and
come home with aching feet. If you're a working woman, choose a
pair of shoes that suits the type of work you perform and also
feels comfortable on your feet. The best shoes for working women
are those that are comfortable and practical.

Support Shoes

Support shoes are not just for the elderly anymore. Many women
now work at retail positions that require long days standing on
their feet with little opportunity to sit down and rest. Finding
a pair of support shoes can help save you from aches and pains
and will also help take some of the pressure off of your ankles,
legs, and back. If you wear a uniform, you can shop for a pair
of support shoes to match.

Slip-On Shoes

Slip-on shoes are the perfect shoes for women who have to walk
from one location to another frequently or who give
presentations standing on their feet. Slip-on shoes come in a
wide variety of styles and colors and have become more
fashionable over the years. You can find slip-on shoes to match
every outfit and handbag in your closet.

Safety Shoes

Women who work in hazardous conditions and areas such as
construction sites or warehouses should consider wearing safety
shoes while they work. While they may not be the most
fashionable shoes, you should consider your safety above all
else while on the job. Many safety shoes have steel toes or
other support built in for comfort and a reduction in the chance
you'll be injured while working.

Pumps

If you work in a business setting and must maintain a
professional appearance, a pair of classic pumps will be more
comfortable than some of the more extreme stiletto styles that
are popular today. Pumps may have a low or high heel and may
have padding inside the shoe to make them more comfortable.
Popular colors include black, taupe, navy, gray, and brown, but
you can find pumps to match almost every outfit possible.

Kitten Heels

If you just can't resist wearing heels, try wearing a pair of
kitten-heeled shoes. The small heels are easier to walk and
maintain your balance in than higher heels and are stylish at
the same time. It is important to remember any dress code that
is in place within your company and choose shoes that are
appropriate. If your dress code calls for no open-toed shoes,
don't choose a pair of kitten-heeled sandals.

Eco-Friendly Fashion Footwear: Cruelty Free Fashion Shoes

Sara Kubersky

Most Vegan women like myself dread of the thought that over 35
million beautiful, intelligent animals are killed just for their
fur or leather on their backs (and that's only the wintertime!),
but that doesn't stop us from being every bit as stylish as our
carnivorous counterparts. Except for the fact, that we only want
cruelty-free fashion, we have the same desire to collect dozens
upon dozens of sandals, sneakers, loafers, flip-flops, knee-high
boots, and other footwear for our shoe wardrobe. Ten years ago,
this would have been a challenge - one that would seem almost
impossible as all vegan shoes practically looked the same.

Nowadays, finding cruelty-free shoes isn't as hard as it sounds.
Now more than ever, companies are beginning to cater to those
with a cruelty-free fashion sense and are now offering a wider
variety to choose from. As this trend continues to emerge, the
only challenge you will have is figuring out how many shoes do
you really need. You'll have to begin asking yourself how many
of them do you really love, and how many fit well, complement
your fashion style and are versatile enough to serve multiple
purposes.

Here are 5 fall/winter fashion shoe styles to help you create
a cruelty-free shoe wardrobe so all encompassing, so perfect,
that no matter what the occasion is, you'll have just the right
eco-friendly shoe

1. One pair of weather-protective footwear.

If you could only buy one boot in your life, an eco-friendly,
air-seal range boot like the 14-Eye Boot from Vegetarian Shoes
is the one to go with. If you spend a good amount of time
outdoors, go with two pairs. Air-seal range boots sporting steel
tipped toe and a sole made from rubber tires will provide you
with that everlasting quality you need and want.

2. One or two pairs of fashion boots in a medium or dark
neutral.

These leather alternative boots are classic enough for work-wear
yet sexy enough to add an edge to jeans and an everyday tee.
Top-of-the-calf boots with a flat heel are one of the cold
weather season's hottest looks, but are surprisingly in-demand
even as the weather grows warmer. For those of you who love the
Engineer boots, but want something a little more fitted, the
Biker boots are perfect! When you're feeling a little "rebel",
wear them as biker boots. When your style is more classic
looking, just take off the buckle, instantly providing you with
simple, comfortable boots that go with everything.

3. One pair of chic looking boots

Almost knee high boots like the Aurora, give you a chic look
with straight skirts and classic-cut trousers. They can be worn
with bare legs or opaque winter stockings. Plus, they work well
with formal and near-formal wear, they add sophistication to
jeans, and instantly dress up a denim skirt and cardigan like
nothing else can. You can also get the same look with Alta style
that is only 11" from the top of the shoe to the bottom of this
eco-friendly fashion footwear. The upper is made from the
highest quality synthetic micro-fibers while the lining is
usually comprised of extremely soft synthetic micro-fibers or
fleece.

4. One pair of neutral-colored casual boots for the
weekend

A woman can never go wrong with classics such as the Amy boot.
Your weekend casual cruelty-free boot should have an extremely
soft and flexible sole making it extremely comfortable for all
day wear. Make sure your casual eco-friendly boots exteriors are
made of "leather" like synthetic micro-fibers giving you that
stylish look, while the interior is made of a soft cotton lining
and a generous foot bed that will accommodate your feet.

5. One pair of attractive non-leather sneakers.

The fall time is the perfect time to run around the track at
your nearby park, and enjoy your surroundings. Whether your
eco-friendly non-leather sneakers are made from hemp or
synthetic micro-fibers, they are go well with your tracksuit,
yet hard-working enough to perform at the gym. The best
athletic/sporty shoes are the pairs that have an extremely
supportive EVA sole, and a thick padded tongue.

.

If you follow the above tips you will create the perfect
eco-friendly fall/winter woman's fashion footwear wardrobe, that
no matter what the occasion is, you will have the perfect
non-leather shoe. Remember, no one can have fashion without
compassion.

Custom Made Shoes

Joe Hanoa

Most people buy ready made shoes. They walk into a store, try
on the different styles, and pick out what they want. Not all
people buy shoes this way. Some people have them designed and
made exclusively for them. There are quite a few places that can
be found on the internet that allow people to order custom made
shoes. When you buy custom made shoes, they are tailored to your
feet. Many people have feet that are not the same size. Or they
have had surgery that resulted in this situation. Other people
just like the idea of having their shoes custom made. Instead of
buying the pair of shoes that cause the least amount of
discomfort, they pay more for the custom made shoes that fit
properly and have no discomfort. Each shoe is made to fit the
shape of each foot. This way when you walk you don't have one
shoe that is too tight or slipping off.

If you like deerskin shoes, there is an online website called
Footwear by Footskins that offers custom made shoes and slippers
for both men and women at very affordable prices. These custom
made shoes can be ordered online. They have detailed
instructions for measuring and tracing both feet. You follow the
directions and send them the information and they will custom
make the shoes to fit your feet. The cost of custom made shoes
to your feet's specifications is an additional $35 to $55
dollars to the price of their stock shoes. This is not a big
price to pay for proper fit and comfort.

Another website allows the consumer to build their own shoe. It
is called Sexy Shoe Siren. Here again, you follow the direction
for measuring your feet and send the tracings and other relevant
information to them. You design the shoe yourself in terms of
style, heel height, sole thickness, color, straps, adornments,
etc. This is true for both men and women. You can design shoes
for special occasions like weddings or Halloween. You can also
design your fantasy shoe. The prices for their stock shoes are
under $100 per pair. The made to order shoes are more expensive
depending on what you order.

Custom made shoes are a good idea for people who have hard to
fit feet and have a problem finding shoes that are comfortable.
They are affordable and allow people to purchase properly
fitting shoes.

Women's Outdoor Footwear - Outdoor

Dana Bradley

There is a huge range of footwear variety in the show rooms this
season. You can enjoy your outdoor trips with the latest styled
outdoor footwear. Different kinds of shoes may fit to different
people but when it comes to women, one has to be real specific
about each and every little detail before giving an option to
the fairer sex. From high-class parties to the beach or maybe a
casual shopping trip, ladies are very much particular about
their footwear because it distinguishes them from any body else.
The new season has arrived and there is a hell lot of outdoor
footwear especially for women. Apart from the casual outdoor
footwear, there are many new chic outdoor shoes for divas who
are interested in sports like hiking, mountaineering, climbing,
and running.

If you are thinking about a beach party then, just think about
the comfort zone a flip flop can offer to you. It is a simple
flexible rubber sole with a pair of soft leather things that
hold on to your feet giving you a fine soothing touch. Whether
your outdoor beach trip is about playing volley ball or just
swimming, sport sandals in any case is always a good choice.
There are many makes and models this season to choose from. Just
visit your nearest shoe store to grab the latest hot styles this
season.

And in case you are a sporting lady, then for an enthusiast like
you, some hard climbing shoes will do the work. They are really
great for those mountain visits with their excellent rock
gripping ability for climbing. There is a whole new lot of these
types of outdoor shoes in the shoe malls near by. The soles of
these shoes are made out of a flexible hard rubber and more
closely bear a resemblance to a climbing shoe than a hiking
shoe. These shoes will serve the right purpose for a lady while
doing all that mountaineering stuff with a comfortable yet solid
footing for their delicate feet.

For the most of us, any shoe will work for the gym, but when it
comes to ladies footwear it has to be perfect. The best and the
most stylish you can flaunt at the gym are of bright colors with
stripes that have been recently launched by the Adidas ladies
footwear range.

Therefore, just grab your outdoor footwear now from the shelves
or you may be late to catch up with the latest styles.

The popular Game football and select Football Cleats that fit

Subhash Kumar

The story of football began sometime during the 19th century in
England when a soccer player, frustrated at using only
his feet to manipulate the ball, decided to simply pick it up
and run with it. Although it was clearly against the rules of
soccer, other players soon found the new way of playing soccer
appealing and thus, the sport of rugby was born.

Football was still mainly href="http://www.halfvalue.com/searchResultsAllBHVOA.jsp?keywords
=American+rugby&type=Blended"> American rugby --much
different from the popular sport known today. Over the course of
three years starting in 1880, Yale player Walter Camp eventually
convinced the IFA to change a series of rules in football to
create a game that is very similar today. For that, Camp is
considered by historians as the father of modern football.

Football cleat sizing

Buy football cleats that match your shoe size for the most
comfortable fit.

Types of football cleats

You'll find molded cleats and detachable cleats on halfvalue.

* Molded cleats: Players who use turf fields often
choose molded rubber cleats, which get a better grip on harder
surfaces. * Detachable cleats: Versatile detachable
football cleats work in various field conditions, especially
grass.

Football cleat styles

Football cleats come in three different heights to satisfy
different needs and preferences.

* High-top football cleats: High-top football cleats
provide extra ankle support for lateral movements and are often
used by linemen.

* Mid-cut football cleats: Mid-cut football cleats
combine maneuverability with support, making them the preferred
style for most skill players.

* Low-cut football cleats: Low-cut football cleats are
your best bet if you favor the lightest shoe with the most
maneuverability.

Women's Boat Shoes Guide

David Evermon

If you are thinking "hey I don't have a boat", keep in mind that
these shoes are not just for wearing on a deck anymore. It is
true that woman's boat shoes are also known as deck shoes, but
today you will see them just as much on the streets in the city
and on campus as you will at your local marina.

Originally, women's boat shoes were manufactured to be worn
while out boating or sailing. The original Indian moccasins
because of their low profile, the water-repellent hide and the
lacings on the sides for fit probably inspired them. Today's
women's boat shoes and their construction with rubber soles and
water repellent or, at the least, less water absorbent leather
uppers make them perfect for a day on the water.

Today's manufacturers also offer a variety of colors and styles.
This is making it a shoe that falls between an informal dress
shoe and the ultimate casual shoe. So today, even with the
obvious practicality of women's boat shoes, if you do go sailing
or boating, it doesn't mean they are only used on the water.
They have become a major part of European women's wardrobes and
a major player in the preppy style of North America. Women's
boat shoes are now being purchased by anyone who is dressing
casual. They are stylish in any situation that does not require
formal attire. A word of advice is that they are considered just
a 3 season shoe. They are not normally worn in the winter. You
can wear women's boat shoes with or without socks, which make
these woman's boat shoes very versatile. Some manufacturers will
include a sock pad to add cushioning for those who do prefer the
traditional no sock look.

A high quality women's boat shoe is not going to be inexpensive
and should last for several years with proper maintenance. The
prices for a quality shoe will range from $39 dollars to as much
as $170 dollars.

Speaking of maintenance, a women's boat shoe is designed to
handle adverse conditions on the water. You may think that they
do not need to be kept up but this is far from the truth. In
between wearings, quality oil should be applied to the leather
uppers occasionally. This helps keep the leather soft, flexible
and water-resistant. The insoles should be sprayed with an anti
fungal / bacteria spray and allowed to air dry. If the rubber
soles should become worn you need to replace or repair them.

Today, even women who have never been on a boat or, for that
matter, near the water are being attracted to the casual style
offered by the women's boat shoe. Fashion experts state that
these sporty shoes can be worn with any of today's casual
attire. The only time they advise wearing a loafer instead would
be in a more business type casual setting. This rule is not iron
clad as it will depend somewhat on your ensemble of choice.
Aided by more contemporary styling and multiple colors, today's
woman is able to stand out more with women's boat shoes then was
possible with the plain original style and color.

Budget Shoes: Are They Worth It?

Leigh A. Zaykoski

Many stores are dedicated to offering shoes at a fraction of the
cost of other shoe stores and department stores. However, you
must think carefully about buying discount shoes and select a
pair that meets your needs and also appeals to your sense of
fashion. Here are some things to watch out for when buying shoes
in a discount store.

The first thing you need to watch out for when selecting a pair
of discounted shoes is the cushioning available in the shoe.
More expensive brands tend to have more padding to support the
foot, while the inner part of discount shoes is often thin and
provides little support and comfort. When you try on shoes, be
sure to walk around the store to gauge the level of padding in
the shoes you are considering so that you don't make a purchase
that will make you uncomfortable.

Decorations or ornaments that are found on shoes are often very
cheaply made on shoes that can be found at discount stores.
Bows, beading, and other embellishments are often made from
inexpensive materials and are not sewn onto the shoes properly.
This can result in a pair of shoes that loses some of its
decorations after only a few wears. To guard against this, be
sure to examine shoes before you purchase them. Tug on the
embellishments to simulate getting caught on something to see if
they come loose or fall off of the shoe easily. If they do,
don't purchase that particular pair of shoes.

Another thing to consider when purchasing a pair of shoes at a
discount shoe store is the style of shoes available. Because
department stores purchase directly from manufacturers, they are
able to sell the latest styles and fashion trends. Discount shoe
stores may have outdated styles that are no longer in fashion.
Check out the selection of shoes available while you shop and
compare them with the styles available at other stores to see if
it is worthwhile to make your purchase at the discount store.

The material used to manufacture the shoes sold at discount
stores is often inexpensive and less sturdy than the material
used in brand name shoes. Instead of leather, you may find
yourself trying on a pair of imitation leather shoes. If you
don't mind wearing less expensive items, you still need to check
the shoes because these materials are often lower in quality
than brand name shoes and will not hold up to regular wear and
tear. Examine the stitching and make sure there is no loose
thread hanging from the shoes. Also examine the shoes for any
scuffs or scratches.

If you follow the above advice when you are shopping at a
discount shoe store, you'll save time and money by avoiding a
purchase that will not last long enough to justify the money
spent.

Having The Right Aerobic Wear Is Very Important

Jenny Riley

If you are an exercise freak and relish your participation in
aerobics classes, then you are probably informed that an ill
fitting aerobic wear can impede your exercise movements. Most
people pay lip service to the issue, but the reality is aerobic
wear is an integral part of aerobic workout and donning the
wrong apparel is an open invitation to discomfort and irritation.

When you set out to buy clothing items for your aerobic classes,
ensure you buy loose fitting outfits that allow for free
airflow. A tight and binding aerobic wear impede movements and
will eventually make the workout ineffective.

Some folks simply like to wear sweat suit for their aerobic
sessions. There is no problem with this since the aerobic wear
is made from light materials, but if you really want to turn out
in style even for an event like an aerobic session, then you
choose from the several types of aerobic wears that are designed
to add panache to your exercise.

Numerous forms of this type of outfit exist in several styles,
colors and designs. A visit to a sports shop will avail you the
opportunity to sort through many the array of aerobic wear. And
pieces to add to your collection include shirts, shorts, pants,
tank shirts and shoes. All these items must fit comfortably, and
must be of materials that permit free flow of air.

For people who use common size, you can go online and check
through the numerous options provided, and it is now common
practice to find online vendors that offer buy one get one free
sales specials, in addition to cost free delivery. Indeed there
is no better place to shop for your aerobic wear.

The items can be bought separately, or as doubles or trios. The
advantage you get by making single pieces is the freedom to mix
or match your favorite color themes, but if you are not fashion
conscious, then simply go for a single set. An aerobic wear sets
consists of matching tops and bottoms, and some may come with a
matching lightweight jacket. Endeavor to see that some of the
pieces are in neutral colors, as this will permit you to
periodically include new aerobic wears as used pieces become too
worn to be used.

One item you must not forget when shopping is the shoe, because
they are very crucial to the exercise program. Select well
fitting aerobic wear shoes that are specifically designed for
aerobics, although they don't come cheap, it will be money well
spent, because they will protect your feet from getting sore.

You don't need to wear dull and drab apparel for your workouts,
but neither must you spend a fortune on one. One wise shopping
trip will help you accomplish the right objective: a trendy,
inexpensive aerobic wear collection that will make your workouts
pleasurable.

Experts Question Flip-Flops In The Workplace And Their Effect On

Jody Feinstein

Women are wearing flip flops in the workplace more and more,
especially in these warmer months. U.S. style experts believe
that flip flops could be damaging not only our feet but our
careers.

There are so many new styles of flip flops: beaded, leather,
sequins that women feel it is easy to get away with wearing them
to work.

An employee of West Glenn Communications comments that she wears
flip-flops on the days she doesn't have important meetings with
clients or avoids wearing them if she knows that someone who
disapproves will be in the office.

Thousands of women across the country consider flip-flops an
indispensable element in their summer wardrobe.

An Old Navy and Gap online survey showed that flip-flops were at
the top of the list as summer work attire for high school and
college students. More than 31 % of the women surveyed said that
flip-flops were essential part for their summer work wardrobe.

Many companies feel differently.

A spokeswoman for BNP Paribas says that if a dress code says no
beachwear this includes flip flops.

Style experts advise that flip-flops could be detrimental to a
career. Younger women are the ones who tend to wear them to work.

Style commentator Meghan Cleary says, "Shoes convey the mood of
a woman. Wearing flip-flops conveys the mood that you are
relaxed and on vacation. That's not a good message in the
office,"

Doctors also have concerns about the effect of flip-flops on the
feet.

Doctors at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons say
that flip-flops are connected to a rising number of heel
problems among teens and young adults.

A representative recently said, "We're seeing more heel pain
than ever in patients 15 to 25 years old, a group that usually
doesn't have this problem." She said that thin soled flip-flops
give no arch support and can intensify abnormal biomechanics in
foot motion. This will ultimately cause pain and inflammation.

Flip-flops have been around for at least 70 years, originating
from traditional Japanese woven, and possibly wooden soled
sandals in New Zealand.

The Y-shaped and flat soled sandal is known all over the world
and to all social classes. It is very common in developing
countries for its affordable price and sometimes the only shoe
used because it is easy to make.

The term "flip-flop" gets its name from the slapping sound the
sandal makes when it hits the ground and the heel.

A few years ago the life of the flip flop changed completely.
They became trendy and popular. All kinds of stores sell them in
a variety of colors with all kinds of decorations. There is even
a bridal Flip flop which is full of Swarovski crystals and sells
for $140.

In June 2005 the Northwestern University's champion woman's
lacrosse team wore flip-flops to the White House to meet the
President. It was considered inappropriate attire and the women
were criticized

Ellen Campuzano, president of the Committee of Color and Trends,
a New York-based forecasting service specializing in footwear
and accessories, believes that flip-flops' popularity has almost
run its course.

"Usually these trends come and go in about five years," she
said. "I think we've reached the peak. They can't be any more
widespread, so maybe next summer something will replace them."

The Beginners Guide To Golf Attire And Style

Willie Jones

Golf is a major sport all over the world and is not likely to go
away any time soon. It is often said to be the rich mans sport
because it is an expensive hobby or occupation. But that doesn't
mean anyone is excluded by any means.

If you want to learn this wonderful sport and meet people that
have the same interests as you then golf is a great sport to
take up. Like any other sport golf takes a lot of trial and
error but it is through the bad grips and swings and landing in
the dreaded sand pits or ponds that you develop your game.

At the same time that you are learning the game itself, it would
be wise to learn about golf attire and style. In any sport you
take up there is a distinctive style and code of dress. If you
take up horse back riding then cowboy boots and hats are the
order of the day. In English riding the code of dress is
completely different. If you take up tennis then the short white
skirts serve to maximize ones game.

Each code of dress is not just for style alone but serves a
practical service. In western riding the hat keeps the sun out
of your eyes. The English riding attire is designed for comfort
and ease of movement but has extra padding where the most
chaffing occurs. In tennis the short skirts allow for maximum
movement while white or light colored fabric deflects the sun
and keeps you cooler. So it is with golf as well.

The style and quality of fabrics for golf has changed over the
years. You rarely see the knickers and the colorful knee length
socks any more. But who knows, at some future date it may come
back in style. Old styles are often brought back to fashion.

The current golf attire is designed for the most part for warm
temperatures. For this reason a good golf shirt must keep
moisture and perspiration away from the skin while ate the same
time maximizing comfort and sanitary conditions. One is after
all outside for hours at a time.

You've seen golf shirts in stores but just because you see it in
the store does not mean that it is going to do you any good on
the golf course. A good golf shirt can be expensive but is worth
every penny. The less attention you have on your sweaty clothes,
the more attention you can put on your game and your golf
buddies.

When looking for a good golf shirt, look for 100% cotton. Not
all cotton is the same though. There is regular cotton and then
there is Pima cotton. Pima cotton is superior cotton. This yarn
is longer, stronger and much more durable then regular cotton.
The result is a softer, silkier and more durable fabric and is
absolutely perfect for golf shirts and pants. Look for Pima
cotton on the label of the garment before you buy.

Now that you have comfort covered you also want to look good on
the course. There are dress codes that should be respected
though. Jeans and spandex are generally a no no. As a general
guide line for men, you might want; golf or polo shirts,
tailored shirts, golf pants or Bermuda shorts. For women; golf
shirts or blouses, golf pants, golf skorts or shorts (not short
shorts), dress pants or dress shorts. There is no real color
preference but due to warm weather usually lighter colors are
worn to stay cooler. The opposite is true for golfing in cooler
weather. You'll want to wear dark colors to capture the suns
warmth.

Golf shoes are also very important. During a golf swing the
golfer's weight is being transferred from the upper body to the
lower body and at the same time weight is being transferred from
the right leg to the left. If the right ankle is not stabilized,
then your body can sway, you overcompensate, and the ball goes
awry. A good golf shoe should cushion your feet while giving
good support. The best place to go for golf shoes is not in a
department store, but a sports store, or a specialty golf shop.
They are more specialized and will be better able to help you in
this.

A really good pair of golf shoes (and gloves) can improve your
game. They also need to be comfortable for the long trek through
the course. And of course you want to look your best and quality
really shows. People will know you are not only serious about
the game but they'll know you are also willing to play the part
of a well dressed golfer. And believe it or not, people will not
only judge you by how you play the game but also by how you
look. We do this in all aspects of our lives, every day, judging
people by how they look.

So spend the extra money for the quality. You'll see that it is
well worth it in the long run.

Happy golfing!

SOME OF THE BEST AFFORDABLE HIGH-HEELS FOR FALL 2006!

Monica M. Burns

Ladies.......Steve Madden and Michael Antonio are two of the
most talented designers of affordable high-heels. If you are
anything like me, you get lots of joy out of a nicely made
4-Inch Heel. I just love them to death! Anyway, being a
fashionista of sorts myself, I am always looking and researching
new and different styles, whether it be shoes, clothing,
handbags, makeup and skincare items. This time........It's Shoes
and Very Tall Ones!

So........as I always advise my clients, before you attempt to
purchase and walk in a high-heel, you will need to practice
first. There is nothing more unattractive than a woman walking
and wobbling in a nicely designed high-heel. You should practice
at home on both hard surfaces and soft surfaces, so that you can
get a true feel for the shoe. Now for my listing of the best
affordable, nicely designed shoes:

❏ Steve Madden's NV1 Shoe - Features Exotic Print, 4.25
Inch Heel, Leather Sole and It Comes In Two Different Exotic
Prints. ❏ Steve Madden's NV Shoe - Suede Upper Peep Toe,
Leather Sole, and Comes in Four Different Colors. ❏ Steve
Madden's Remedie Boot - 4-Inch Heel, Inside Zipper, Leather
Sole, Leather Upper, and Comes In Three Different Colors.
❏ Michael Antonio's Paoli Shoe - Perfect for Dressing Up
or for Casual Looks, 4-Inch Faux Wooden Heel, Comes in Four
Different Colors. ❏ Michael Antonio's Latte Shoe - For A
Polished Look and For A Woman of Sophistication, Pointed Toe
Stiletto Ankle Strap Pump, Comes In Two Colors. ❏ Michael
Antonio's Purang Shoe - For The Confident Woman, Two-Tone Faux
SnakeSkin Texture, Comes In Three Colors.

This is just a short listing, but they are wonderful shoes. I am
a avid fan and client of both Steve Madden and Michael Antonio
Shoes, and they are a perfect asset to any woman's wardrobe. I
love shoes and they are a weakness of mine, but all of the shoes
I purchase, can be worn with any outfit I have in my wardrobe.
When choosing your shoes, always decide on a pair that will
accentuate your wardrobe and stand out. Never try to blend in
with others. It is just boring and not confident. If you don't
regularly wear high-heels, don't you think that it's time that
you start?

Beach Shoes - Coming into Fashion

John Gibb

It used to be that when people heard the term "beach shoes",
they thought of those rubber sandals commonly known as "thongs"
or "flip-flops". Beach shoes were not part of the fashion world;
they were just something that you wore on your feet when you
went to the beach so that they didn't get hot. Beach shoes,
however, have come a long way, and now there are several
different styles from several different manufacturers that are
stylish and trendy, but still very useful.

Of course, the rubber flip-flops are still around, and people
still wear them, but in this ever-increasingly fashion-conscious
world, people are worrying as much about what they wear on their
feet to the beach as what they wear on their bodies. And beach
shoes aren't necessarily just for the beach anymore. They are a
fashion accessory that can help give you that laid-back "beachy"
look, even if you never step foot on the sand.

Flip-flops come in all different types of styles and materials
now. There are leather ones that look good on the beach and also
look good with casual wear, such as sun dresses for women or
Bermuda shorts and polo shirts for men. They also come in
materials such as bamboo soles and velvet straps, suede straps
and rubbers soles with built-in massaging foot pads, or they can
even be made completely out of unusual materials such as hemp or
layered denim.

Beach shoes don't have to be flip-flop styles either; they can
be regular sandals that are fashioned to be easily worn and
comfortable while walking on the sand, or they can be actual
tennis shoes that are designed for running or walking on the
sand. Generally, tennis shoe-style beach shoes have a pronounced
arch to compensate for the softness of sand, and soft
comfortable material to cover the foot for maximum comfort and
"breathe-ability". Jogging on the beach is a popular pastime for
those who are lucky enough to live close to the ocean shore, and
shoe manufacturers finally started realizing that there was a
market for good jogging shoes that were more comfortable for
this activity.

The bottom line is that you can make as much of a fashion
statement with your beach shoes as you can with any of the other
items in your wardrobe. If you live near the beach you should be
able to find several shops that sell fashionable beach shoes,
but if you live in an area that is nowhere near the beach, such
as in the Midwest, you can probably find the best beach shoes by
visiting web sites that sell beach clothing or beach shoes in
particular.

Active Women's Footwear

Dana Bradley

Shoes have basically just one purpose - protection. Protecting
your beautiful feet from cold, heat and other elements.
Fundamentally footwear was developed centuries ago to keep man's
feet from harm and injury. This basic purpose has been put in
the shade long before when it comes to women's shoes. It all
flies out the window in the goodwill of fashion. Active women's
foot wear have changed their face long time back!

It is better to cancel all that talk about protecting your feet
when it comes to women's shoes. It is because a female's shoe
goes way above and beyond the offering just for protection of
her very special feet. They serve a much superior purpose that
can only possibly be truly understood by the fairer of the
species. Shoe designers just love women, and not surprisingly
they love designing women's shoes. They know - like you and I -
that almost all the women love shoes. We oomph about the latest
styles in shoes but it might be possible that they are not
practical at times.

While women's shoes come in all styles, shapes, and colors and
they seem to have affection for all of them, therefore it never
fails, when a new pair of shoes comes up, it has to be on her
shelf. You never know about what a woman may think about her
shoes. At times a strap laden sandal is out of place, or too
dressy for her to carry. If it is an early dinner, unprepared
company meeting, or a memorial service, usually a low heeled,
comfortable black pump is vital for every woman's shoe
collection.

Even with flexible black pumps, they simply will not go with
everything for these ladies. They will want a shoe that can go
great with jeans as well as trousers, but not so casual even
that they couldn't wear nicer slacks with it!

Are you also one of them looking for not too strappy shoes,
neither too clunky - then its time you browse through the
shelves this season which are packed with the latest styles and
cool stuff. This season you can just check in the stores for the
cutest pairs of active women foot wear that may be causal or
professional on their looks. Bargain the best price for your
favorite pair of shoes.

The top choices in active women's active foot wear feature
footwear from the top designers and brands; the latest trends
and styles; and shoes for all occasions. From pumps and shoes,
to sneakers and athletic shoes or active shoes, just compare the
prices and shop for women's shoes with the help from this shoe
site.

Fashion Shoes For Men

Dana Bradley

Nowadays, as one would browse through shoe accessories, the
perfect choice is the oxford style. Common brand names for this
style are Mephisto, Magnanni, Justin, Sando Moscolini, etc.

Designed for formal or casual occasions, handcrafted Mephisto
Abel and Phoebus Oxford shoes are perfect for especially long
days, striding continuous. They feature shock-absorbing soles
containing airbags in the heel, and are adapted to the wearer's
foot anatomy with essentially reliable heel and foot support.
The material for manufacture is normally full-grain leather of
top quality for the uppers and lining. Leather enhances the
appearance of the item, as well provides a perfect inner shoe
climate. A removable cushioned insole provides great comfort for
the wearer's feet as it ensures quality health of the feet..
Soft latex midsole ensures a lightweight and flexible product.
Padded tongue and collar are other desirable features for
additional support. The construction is according to the
360-degree Goodyear welt design.

The Mephisto Men's Storm Walking Shoe is designed with urban
styling in mind and meets the ultimate comfort sought after by
the customer. It too features a shock-absorbing heel and
anatomic insole. Durability ensures their use for storm walking
or for versatile usage as the Allrounder category. The
Allrounder has the stability, shock-absorption by means of a
suspension system and cushioning for the comfort of the owner,
as well as protection of the feet through any heights. Gore-Tex
in the uppers provides additional support, and smooth lining .
Rubber soles with traction-grip and stability bar provide the
ultimate fit and grip for the owner's feet. In addition, an
"Air-Jet" circulatory system allows ventilation for the
inner-shoe climate. Occasionally, latex is used for the midsole,
and the rubber sole is the primary material to allow bouncing,
flexibility, and long endurance under harsh conditions.

Magnanni Men's options are the Malaga and Salamanca oxford
styles, the Marbella loafer, all of which feature lizard or
Spanish leather, with stylish printing for a fashionably exotic
look. The Malaga oxford has an excellent reputation of style
proven by its genuine lizard leather used in the upper, sole and
lining. This is perfect for those milestone moments in life. The
Salamanca category features a bologna construction with Spanish
leather for the upper, lining and sole combined with rubber and
a blucher tie closure. For a subtle, traditional, classic look,
the leather Spanish loafer is recommended as it exhibits a rich,
polished look that is perfect for formal occasions, such as
board meetings and office presentations.

Cross Training Shoes

Niki Aubertin

Cross training shoes are a very versatile shoe. What ever your
choices of exercise are, good cross training shoes will provide
support toward achieving your goal. They are referred to as a
mid range exercise shoe. They are not really created for any
type of extreme sport activities.

Good training shoes should be able to meet all your needs. When
looking for the best pair of cross trainers, keep your physical
activity needs in mind. Some are designed with running and
general exercise in mind, others are best used in Pilates or in
weight training.

There are many designs but most styles are created to
accommodate a variety of needs. You'll find several good cross
trainers are mid-cut, not as flexible as a running shoe, and
good with support. The support is usually shown in the way they
design the sides of the shoes. A combination of leather and
breathable mess is a good combination.

What To Wear In Paris France

Michel Endene

Style And Fashion For Your Paris Trip.

The question of what to wear in Paris, France usually comes
with a premise. There is that notion that Paris is the fashion
capital of the world. Therefore, aside from the concerns of
wearing something comfortable and weather appropriate, what to
wear in Paris, France often becomes driven by a fear of looking
goofy in a city full of smartly dressed people.

First, let's address that point. Does everybody in Paris dress
fashionably? To start with, fashion is no longer a
one-dimensional thing, particularly in a cosmopolitan city like
Paris, which has an amalgam of styles with sources spanning the
entire globe. On any given day, you're likely to spot someone
wearing a sub-saharian African djellaba, someone with a Texas
cowboy hat, or someone wrapped in East Indian cloth with a red
dot on their forehead.

Designers in the fashion industry are themselves frequently
inspired by non-western dress styles they encounter in the
streets of Paris. As fashion goes, that ought to put a little
perspective on the topic of what to wear in Paris, France.

But in general, while there is no question that Parisians are
very much a fashion oriented lot, it's fair to say that what to
wear in Paris France is increasingly being answered by casual
styles, and the international language of American jeans.

T-shirts, jeans and various jacket styles are definitely more
common than ever before. There is however, as in anything
Parisian, a certain flair in how you wear it (i.e., it's not
just any old jeans and t-shirts).

You will surely also see a lot of young professionals dressed
in chic business suits and designer outfits, but unless your
trip is of a business nature, you probably won't care to dress
that way. Instead, you'll most likely go for a vacation look.

You'll ultimately have endless options and the choice is always
yours, but there are a couple of things you want to keep in mind
when choosing what to wear in Paris, France.

For instance, Parisians do not wear shorts. It's simply not
part of Paris fashion or Parisian style. At the very least, it
is rare, and is a "non-local" dead giveaway. Guys don't wear
them and young women will instead wear skirts of various
lengths; but shorts, even of the "hot pants" variety are seldom
seen on the streets.

The same goes for flip-flop slippers and thick-sole athletic
sneakers. Lighter, more elegant athletic shoe styles have
sprouted all over Europe in recent years, and are the type of
sneakers that the locals wear.

Again, there are no rules keeping you from wearing whatever you
prefer. As a traveler, I think there are right-off-the-plane
backpackers' and other rugged looks that are perfectly fine at
the appropriate time and place.

The MO is what's appropriate and what you're comfortable in.
Visitor or not, some people don't like to look like tourists;
some don't mind. If you are the type that would rather blend in,
here's a tip about what to wear in Paris, France. Shoot for the
best of both worlds, going for comfort but looking stylish doing
it.

Because of the amount of walking you will be subjected to, the
answer to what to wear in Paris, France should begin with your
feet. It's all about the shoes, Baby! At least, that's where it
all starts. Whether you decide to pack them or to go shop for
them once in Paris, put some effort into it; they will make all
the difference.

Go to any evening outing, or a nice restaurant, and watch the
eyes of the person who greets you at the door. 9 times out of
10, they might just glance at your clothes, but they will notice
the shoes. Try going into a somewhat exclusive nightclub with
shoes that raise the wrong flag. Not a chance!

I'm not suggesting that you go out and buy a pair of the latest
$500 Charles Jourdan or Mario Valentino, only that you remember
what won't work. A nice pair of soft leather shoes in a basic
color will do the trick. Here is a good test: You should be able
to wear them for an entire day of sightseeing and, if that's
your thing, to the opera later that night without a fuss. Of
course, you could go in and change each time, but the idea is to
be able to avoid that inconvenience.

I once had a black pair of soft leather ankle-boots with
flexible sole that I must have worn through every one of as many
as 10 countries I visited at one point. They were so useful and
versatile, I almost had to give them a proper funeral when I
finally wore them to death!

Of late, certain athletic shoes do come in varieties that are
both comfy like sneakers and stylish enough to wear with slacks
or dress pants and of course, jeans. My personal taste is
something with a little less sports-like undertones, for those
nights out on the town.

While ladies might require more specific style advice than I'm
qualified to give, the same basics apply across the board.
Regardless of the style you choose, sneakers, open-toe, low
heels, boots, the emphasis should be on comfort, style and
versatility.

Once you've taken care of the shoes, what to wear in Paris,
France during your trip will prove a lot more painless. Pretty
much anything you usually wear will be fine (I don't mean worn
out sweats). I do have to say as a word of caution, that Paris
has a way of making you feel really outshined in some
situations. So, be warned...

I suppose that's where the "fashion capital of the world" bit
comes in. There is simply so much availability and access to the
finest fashion from local sources, and from anywhere in the
world, that when people do go for style, it's rather impeccable.

Another contributing factor is that in Paris, you dress in
layers. Generally speaking, temperatures can swing from cool to
warm or vice versa in the course of a day. Therefore, people are
used to preparing for either adding clothes on or stripping down
as necessary. This would include jackets, sweaters, occasional
raincoats, etc. Of course, layering is done with a keen eye on
coordination.

When selecting what to wear in Paris, France during your trip,
the one thing to keep in mind is that style and fashion in Paris
are so diverse that with a few minor adjustments, you can easily
get away with wearing whatever your usual favorites are (hmmm,
on second thoughts, insert disclaimer here... just kidding, sort
of). Seriously, with those few guidelines in mind, you should be
just fine.

If you're planning for some evenings very much on the chic
side, you might also consider packing a nice pair of black
slacks, dress shirt or blouse, or the indispensable little black
dress (ladies only, please...)

Wow! Now that I got you guys dressed so nice, we should meet up
for a couple of cocktails! Après vous... ;=)

Athletic Shoes: A Crash Course

Leigh A. Zaykoski

Buying athletic shoes is more difficult than most people know.
Not all athletic shoes are appropriate for all sports, so there
is a wide selection of shoes to choose from, making it difficult
to make a selection. Here are some of the most popular types of
athletic shoes, how they can be used, and how to make a
selection.

Running shoes

Running shoes come in a number of brands and styles and it is
important for you to understand how these shoes should be used.
Running shoes provide support for runners and often have
additional cushioning that helps protect the knees and back from
the stress and strain caused by running on hard surfaces. A
running shoe will completely enclose your foot and will often
have ankle support so that you don't injure yourself. Choose a
running shoe by trying on several different pairs and making
sure the shoe you eventually select fits you well.

Tennis Shoes

Tennis shoes are a bit different than running shoes, although
many people refer to both types of shoes as "sneakers." Tennis
shoes are more elongated and narrow than running shoes because
of the type of athleticism that is required on the tennis court.
Tennis players must not only run, but often run on their toes or
run backwards, so having this type of shoe is important. To
select a tennis shoe, try on several pairs and check to make
sure that they are not too narrow, that there is enough room
between your toes and the toe of the shoe, and that the shoes
are not damaged in any way before you buy them.

Walking Shoes

Walking shoes are different than running shoes because of the
type of strain put on the foot and the difference in difficulty.
Walking shoes often look like running shoes, but will have
different levels of padding or support. To choose a walking
shoe, select several different pairs from the store shelves and
make time to try them on. Lace them up all the way, even though
you may be tempted not to, so you can see how well they fit when
they are tied. Put on both shoes and walk around the store to
see how well they support you as you walk. Check for any defects
and make sure there is enough room between the toe of the shoe
and your own toes for comfort.

By understanding the differences between the many athletic shoes
available, you will be better able to find a pair that meets
your athletic needs and also feels comfortable on your feet.

Finding and Wearing Sexy Shoes

Lin Western

It's been said that "diamonds were a girl's best friend." While
that might be true for some, if you ask vertically-challenged
girls you'll find that high heel shoes receive that honour.
Heeled shoes, including phallic stiletto heels, can add more to
a woman's stature and confidence than many carets ever could.

Sexy shoes and comfort You might think those are exclusive of
one another but you'd be wrong. You can find comfortable high
heel shoes if you know what to look for. The first rule of high
heel shoe shopping is "The higher the heel, the more you should
spend." That doesn't mean you can't find a comfortable pair of
sexy heels for under £30, you probably won't find a pair of
stilettos or platform shoes in that range, though.

When you've found a pair of high heel or platform shoes you
really love, wear them around the shoe store for a short while.
If your feet don't hurt after a few minutes, take them home but
keep your store slip.

Wear them around your home for an hour or two. The reason for
the home wear is two-fold; first, you won't hurt yourself as
much should you fall or stumble. Second, you won't wear the
soles or the heels should you need to return them. If you have
blisters or discomfort in any way, you should return them to the
shoe store straight away.

Heel height should be about 5 centimetres. More than that and
you might begin to feel wobbly. You don't want to catch a man's
attention as you stumble and fall. It can not only be
embarrassing, it can be very uncomfortable.

Thickness is another aspect of high heels that can effect
comfort. Thicker is not always better and the trend for thick
heels comes and goes. A stiletto, with a heel about 1 centimetre
in diameter at the point it hits the pavement is always in
vogue. Stilettos, the epitome of sexy shoes, are typically 4 - 6
centimetres tall and look fabulous on a tall woman as much as a
shorter one. The thicker the heel is at the base the more
stability, and in turn comfort, it will provide.

Platform shoes can be more comfortable than some common high
heels because the soles are available in flat styles, relieving
pressure from the balls of your feet. They are, however, an
acquired taste as they raise your centre of gravity
considerably.

The soles of platform shoes are often made of wood, cork,
plastic or rubber. They will elevate your physique and
confidence, a fashion statement that's been sexy since the
1930's, when platform shoes came onto the market.

How to wear heels Before leaving home for a night out, practice
wearing your high heels by walking around your home. Keep your
legs straight and close together. Point your toes in front of
you. Start off with slow, short steps, placing your heel down
first then rolling onto the flat of your foot, the ball then
your toes.

As you become more comfortable with your high heel or platform
shoes, practice on various surfaces, like carpet and wood
floors. Don't forget to work on stops, turns and even slow
dancing.

Sexy shoes will round out any ensemble. You can wear stilettos
with denim jeans and platform shoes with mini skirts. Regardless
of the style of your dress, your high heel or platform shoes
will help keep your back straight, your shoulders back and make
your legs look longer. This is a sexy, seductive look no matter
where your shoes take you.

Mens Fashion Tips: Art of Matching Shoes with Suits and Pants

Leroy Fong

I have received many queries by readers on how to match their
shoes against their other mens clothing, like suit or pants.
Actually it is not as difficult as they think it is since the
choices of colors for men's shoes are quite limited. Unless you
have a taste for extraordinary colors, otherwise there should
not be much problem coordinating dress shoes.

Always remember that formality of dress shoes begins from the
darkness of its color. For example, black is always the most
formal color while light brown is the least formal. So you
should match your shoes against your suits or pants based on the
occasion. If you are attending a formal business dinner, then
naturally black shoes are your ultimate choice rather than brown
shoes.

Of late, there are more men wearing light brown or camel colored
dress shoes against their dark colored suits or pants. These
high contrast creates a very trendy style which I personally
like. However, we should also note that this combination gives a
more casual feel toward it.

What if the suit or pants are brown-based colors like olive or
chocolate colors? Must we definitely wear it against brown
shoes? Not necessarily, black shoes are just as fine. Of course,
brown shoes would let the color flow very smoothly but black is
still a color that can fit nicely. Remember that black is the
color for formal.

Lace-up shoes are one step better than slip-ons for their
formality. At the same time, lace-ups are split into Balmoral
and Blucher types. Refer to Mens Dress Shoes Styles for their
differences. The latter is always considered less formal because
of its open throat design.

So remember that whether you want a formal or casual look would
depend on your choice of two criteria: the dress shoe style and
its color. My brother actually has a gray shoe that is blucher
styled with pointed tip and polished patented leather. Due to
these various combinations, his dress shoe actually looked
almost formal against dark colored pants and yet with a tinge of
stylishness.

Great Looking And Cheap Bridal Shoes

Sam Smith

Most brides can quickly end up spending thousands of dollars for
one special day in their life. This is fin and you want
everything to be the absolutely magical for your wedding.
However if there are some ways to save money then why not? It is
always great to save money and still look great. Cheap bridal
shoes are a good way to cut costs.

Cheap bridal shoes do not have to look cheap, old fashioned or
out of style. There are where you can purchase elegant but cheap
wedding shoes if you only know where to look.

Great Sources For Cheap Bridal Shoes

There are numerous ways to find cheap bridal shoes. Two of the
best ways are to look at local bridal shops and at department
stores. They often offer cheap bridal shoes with designer
inspired styles.

For example if you are looking for a great pair of Vera Wang
bridal shoes why not look at department stores. Often they will
carry a wide variety of Vera Wang inspired shoes. These will be
made by other manufacturers many you have probably never heard
of. However for many the name of the shoe makes matter less then
the design. So if you are looking for a great design but cheaper
wedding shoe then a Vera Wang inspired shoe is a great way to go.

Macy's is a great department store to try. They often carry a
wide variety of designs by lesser known manufacturers but will
be able to pass the savings on to you. Keep in mind that they
are somewhat limited and you might not find the hottest Jimmy
Choo designer wedding shoe but you can often find something that
will work for your situation.

Cheap bridal shoes can be found at many different stores in a
variety of styles if you do some work and look hard to find the
best deals. You can often find peep-toe, ankle strap, pumps and
sandals in various colors and styles. You can also purchase a
pair of dyeable cheap bridal shoes if you want the color of the
shoe to match a certain color used in your wedding.

When To Shop For Cheap Bridal Shoes

Knowing where to shop is half the battle and a great way to get
discounted brial shoes. However if you want the best quality and
true rock bottom prices then you have to not only know where to
shop but when to shop also. You can often find your discount
bridal shoes for the best possible price when you know the
specific month when they will be on sale.

You can often simply ask at your local bridal shop when the
shoes go on sale. Generally speaking however there are certain
times of year when the shoes go on sale. For example often in
the month of January after the holiday season shoes will go on
sale. Then again in October a few weeks after the back to school
rush. However just to be sure and know your particular location
it can't hurt to ask.

Also you want to understand how season inventory works. All
clothing inventory is seasonal and changes with the four
seasons. For example an open toe bridal sandal is going to look
kind of strange in the middle of winter. So often at the end of
a season as the new clothes hit the market stores are forced to
sell off their existing inventory to make way for the new shoes.
So if you are having a wedding in the late Spring then this year
right after that time passes go in a snag a good deal on heavily
discounted designer inspired bridal shoes. If you are have a
winter wedding then go in late August and pick up a great deal
on your wedding shoes.

There are a lot of different ways to save big money on your
wedding shoes and if they look almost the same as the more
expensive version then why not save the extra buck. It always
helps a new struggling family out to have a little extra money
for the things ahead...

Baby Shoes - 6 Criteria To Buy The Best For Your Baby

Brooke Hayles

Dressing your baby in a stylish outfit isn't complete without
baby shoes. However, you need to be aware of some health facts
before you rush out and buy those cute shoes in the boutique
baby store.

To begin with, baby shoes are only necessary once your baby
starts to walk. In fact, 6 weeks after they start to walk is the
best time to start putting on the first shoes. This is because
the bones in a baby's feet are soft and easily misshapen.

To emphasis this point, remember the old Eastern tradition of
binding the baby's feet so that they never grew bigger, even as
an adult? This shows how easily the bones can be crushed until
the feet have grown.

Shoes that are too small can cause skin irritations and even
ingrown toenails. To measure that the baby shoe fits correctly,
place the width of your thumb between the largest toe and the
edge of the shoe. This is the same as half an inch longer than
the longest toe. If it fits, the shoe is OK to buy.

Buying too large a size of baby shoe isn't good either. Your
baby is already learning how to walk, imagine trying in a shoe
that's too big! Check by watching to see if the heel slips off
when your baby is standing on tip-toe. If it does, go down a
size.

What about the material of the shoe? Some brands make cute
imitation adult shoes but they can be damaging for your baby's
feet. The baby shoe needs to be flexible - does it fold into the
palm of your hand?

A good test of flexibility. The shoe needs to be made of porous
material like leather, suede, cloth or canvas to prevent
uncomfortable sweating. The sole should be made of non-slippery
material such as leather, suede or for real grip, try the
grooved rubber soles. These really prevent the wobbles turning
into an accident.

What about the shape of the shoe? Remember, you are trying to
ensure that your baby shoes allow your baby the freedom to learn
how to walk. Shape is important. Try to buy shoes that are oval
or square to match the natural shape of the foot. Baby shoes
that are high-tops will stay on longer than low-cut styles but
ensure that the ankle can move freely.

And what about closures? Try to buy Velcro or elastic closures
for easy 'putting-on'. Laces can cause accidents if your baby
trips over them.

Once you have these criteria matched, you can choose any designs
from novelty animal baby shoes to the traditional look. And
don't just choose from baby shops or department stores. Have a
look online to find unique brands and styles.

Summary:

Dressing your baby in a stylish outfit isn't complete without
baby shoes. However, you need to be aware of some health facts
before you rush out and buy those cute shoes in the boutique
baby store.

Walking Backwards Down The Mountain

Steve Gillman

The first time I had knee pain when hiking was on the last few
miles of a 26-mile hike to the top of Mount Haggin in Montana. I
had to actually stop walking at some point. There was just too
much pain to take another step. I laid down with my legs uphill
for a while. That seemed to help.

That was the first trick I learned to reduce my knee pain. My
particular problem is only when I am hiking downhill after
putting in some miles. After some internet research, I have
discovered that it may be due to "pronation" or flattening of
the arch. The following are some pain-relief techniques that
have worked for myself, and some that others have used
successfully.

Walking Backwards To Relieve Knee Pain

I can't say that I really recommend walking backwards down
mountain trails. It is a good way to fall and get seriously
hurt. On the other hand, I have done this for up to ten minutes
at a time, when it was a matter of getting back to the car or
being stuck on a mountain unprepared. In my case, the pain
relief is immediate once I start to walk backwards.

Other Ways To Relieve Knee Pain

Shoe inserts. I haven't had much of a problem with my knees
since I started using orthopedic shoe inserts. I bought mine for
$6 or so. The ones with the arch support are what you need,
because these prevent the pronation that causes knee pain on
those downhill stretches. Knee braces. Try the neoprene ones
that are sold in pharmacies. This is a cheap solution (under
$10) that has helped me a lot.

Wrap your knee. If you have nothing else with you, you can try
wrapping your knees with an ace bandage. You could also try
wrapping your knees with a handkerchief, socks, or other
clothing. Know your limits. If you have regular knee, pay
attention to how many miles of steep terrain you can hike before
the pain starts. Keep this limit in mind when planning hiking
trips. When you reach the halfway point, turn around.

Trekking poles. Trekking poles or a good walking stick can help
take the pressure off those knees on the downhill stretches. If
you have to, you can cut a dead branch or small tree to use for
a walking stick. Make sure it is long enough (up to your
armpits), because a longer stick works better on the downhill
stretches, where you need it the most.

Cool your knees. You can try soaking your knees in the cold
water of a stream or lake to reduce the swelling and pain. In
winter or in high in the mountains in summer, you can use snow
as well. Just wrap a handkerchief or shirt around your knee and
pack it full of snow. Be careful, however - frostbite or
hypothermia are real risks in winter.

There are other ways to treat knee pain when hiking. There are
also ways to prevent it. For example, hiking up to your limit -
but not beyond, may help strengthen the muscles around the
knees, and so prevent future pain. Try the tricks listed here
and see what works best for you.

Walk Your Way To The Goal Of Happiness!

Gabriel Adams

Thinking about getting out and walking as a form of exercise?
Walking is one of the most relaxing forms of low-impact
exercises that brings us not only good health, but also time to
socialize with the neighbors or simply spend some quality "alone
time." But as with all effective endeavors, walking is more
useful when it's done as part of a meaningful program. This
doesn't suggest that walking can't be fun. We simply believe
that you would enjoy your plight and reap the benefits of
walking more if it were a path toward some sort of goal.

What kind of goal?

Aside from the obvious benefits like exercising or socializing
with other walkers, how about the goal of simply feeling good?
We bet you can recall a time in your childhood when walking or
running made you feel just fantastic. As a child, walking might
have made you feel 'free' or maybe it gave you an exclusive
claim to be a happy-go-lucky kid. We'll even bet you can
remember when you had not a care in the world except getting
home from walking in time for supper or your favorite television
show. And if you took your shoes off, you might have taken a
private delight in the way the grass or sand felt on your bare
feet as you stretched your legs in proud, feel-good strides.

As an adult, we often feel these days are gone and reserved for
the next generation, but it doesn't have to be. You too, can
relive those happy feelings you had as a carefree child by
simply walking and enjoying the tingling feelings that your body
sends you - it just feels plain GOOD to be enjoying life
actively! Few things can beat a stroll down the beach or through
the woods.

Get Happy. Go for a Walk.

25 Points of Great Grooming and Style

Stephen Nash

1) Notice how long it takes women to get ready, consider how
much time they spend on looking good for you. How long do you
spend getting ready to go out? 15 min, maybe? Take some extra
time and really put some effort into looking good, people will
take notice.

2) Pick and choose which trends to follow. You don't want to be
too trendy or else you'll end up looking like a fashion victim,
however you should be on top of what's current and new so that
you can be selective with incorporating certain trends into your
look.

3) Go to a department store and test out at least a dozen
colognes. Instead of spraying them on tester paper, which won't
give you a good idea of how they really smell on your skin, ask
for samples... most guys don't know that they will give you free
samples; take them home and try them out. Pick the one that
suits you best.

4) Get at least one expensive haircut. The stylist will cut your
hair according to the bone structure of your face, accentuating
your best features. Remember the style so that it can be
duplicated later on buy a less expensive place.

5) If you wear a sport coat or suit, pay close attention to how
long the sleeves are; there should always be a half inch of
shirt sticking out from under the cuff. This is a $10 alteration
that could make your suit look custom made.

6) Make sure that all your clothes work with each other; try to
have a common theme throughout. You don't want to look like an
urban cowboy one day and a DJ the next.

7) Go to a tailor today and have him take your correct
measurements - put this on the back of a business card, and
carry with you everywhere, it will come in handy when buying
clothes, especially over the internet.

8) Work on building all parts of your wardrobe; make sure that
you spend as much effort dressing casually as you do formally.

9) Keep you eyebrows in control, absolutely no unibrows, and if
they are too bushy get them thinned out. Go to a salon if you
have to.

10) Buy grooming products that are specific to you. Moisturizer
if you have dry skin, deep cleaning shampoo if you have oily
hair, etc...

11) No nose hairs ever. Trim these daily if necessary - this is
an absolute MUST...second in importance only to having good
breath.

12) Always make sure your belt and shoes match. If they are both
leather, they must match up. Have at least one brown belt and
one black. This is one of the indisputable rules in dressing for
men.

13) Try layering up your clothing. Take a look at fashion ads
and notice how the models are always wearing two or more layers.
The more layers you wear, the more put together and
sophisticated you will look. Wear up to 4 layers, with a tie or
scarf counting as one layer.

14) Buy a pair of well made shoes and make sure you don't skimp
in this area. A great pair will last you for at least 5 years.
In the long run you will actually save money because you won't
have to replace them every 6 months. Keep them well polished at
all times.

15) Buy at least one sport coat in a versatile color such as
charcoal or navy; better yet get one custom made. There are
endless combinations you can do with this item. You can dress it
down with a pair of jeans or dress it up with a pair of slacks
and tie.

16) Buy at least one suit that you'd never be able to wear to
work, something cool and stylish. Maybe it has a colorful
pinstripe or is made out of a more casual fabric. You want at
least one of these to wear out on the town and at parties. This
will really make you stand out as being well dressed.

17) Try dressing down items that are more formal. Pair a
luxurious fabric like velvet with well-worn denim. The
contrasting pieces will create an intriguing look.

18) Fill your wardrobe with high quality classics items that
won't go out of style. For example, a leather jacket, a navy
blazer, and a pair of good quality jeans.

19) The only jewelry a man should have is a nice watch and
perhaps a wedding ring when the time is right. We're against the
whole earrings on men thing unless you are in a band...Also,
avoid gold and diamonds or you'll end up looking like a rapper -
unless, of course, you ARE a rapper.

20) Avoid wearing black dress shoes. It's not that we have
anything against black shoes, it's just that they always look
better in a darker brown color; they are more stylish too. For
the ultimate, try Cordovan (horsehide) leather shoes. They have
a deep, rich color that only gets better with age. Cordovan
leather was originally used to make army boots because it is so
indestructible.

21) If you're a khakis kind of guy, go out and buy some jeans;
you need to mix it up and go for something more casual.
Likewise, if you're a jeans guy, go out and buy some dressier
pants, perhaps a pair of corduroys or chinos.

22) Manicure - 1 x per week (do it yourself); for both toenails
and fingernails - be sure your fingernails are clean and trimmed
at all times. A woman will look at your nails before she looks
at what brand your watch is.

23) Invest in a classic tuxedo that will never go out of style.
Make sure it has peaked lapels and is one or two button. You
will stand out from the crowd of guys who rent. Renting is a
waste of money in the long run.

24) Always make sure you have good breath. A great way to make
sure of this is to buy a tongue scraper and always wash with
antiseptic mouthwash. Nothing is a bigger turn-off than bad
breath.

25) Last but not least, never talk about how much effort you put
into shopping, grooming, looking good, etc. Make it appear as if
you do all of this effortlessly, be almost secretive about it.
Brush off compliments with... "oh how nice of you to notice..."

Women always love shopping. No matter where they are or where

their agenda. Most women, including you, want to look gorgeous

best since every one of them gives different temptation. You
know that every year has been a year of changing the height and
width of soles and heels. The styles have been made and changed
and brought back to fit the newest fads.

Looking back to the history of shoes in the 20th century, you
will know how styles will never fade away. In 1900's where shoes
have definite height. Some of the shoes had five inch heels that
were attached to a mid-shin length. Shoe fashion was greatly
influenced by Queen Victoria. The style "didn't fade away with
her death in 1901.

The women would wear boots in the day most of the time. The
shoes that they would wear in the "evening were more diverse."
The shoes were "embellished with embroidery or metallic tread
and glass or jet beading on the toes." They were mostly made
from fine satins and soft kid and beaded with rows to enhance
the shins. The fashion was to have small narrow feet and most
women would wear their shoes one size smaller.

Now, you can find more variation in shoes fashion. You might
find varieties boots, casual shoes, athletic shoes, dress shoes,
trend shoes and sandals. Each of those varieties offers numbers
of pretty models too. For example, boots consist of knee-high
boots; lace up, high heel, cold weather, and many more.
Meanwhile, athletic shoes comprise of those for basketball,
running, aerobic, tennis, etc.

Almost all women’s shoe stores provide various brands and pretty
designs. Just take a look at the display and get what you want.

Why a Lady Needs to Look Good and Feel Good

Author: Janette Vince

Article:
The answer to this seemingly complex question really is quite
simple. And believe it or not, the reason has nothing to do with
what's pounded into our heads every day by the media. For
example...

Looking good and feeling good isn't going to lead us into the
waiting arms of an ultra-rich, incredibly handsome, honest and
caring, polite and well-mannered man who just happens to be
available AND interested.

Looking good and feeling good isn't going to guarantee that our
social lives will suddenly be as jam-packed and exciting as all
those celebrities whose looks we try so desperately to emulate.

And no, looking good and feeling good won't turn us into highly
sought-after starlets either. (Although it MIGHT help us get
chosen for the newest reality television show.)

Ladies - No matter what you see on television, or hear on the
radio or in the salon, or read in newspapers and magazines, the
reasons given above are NOT the reasons why you should look good
and feel good. It's time you refocus. Now pay attention and I'll
give you the answer. Ready for the big reveal? Here is it.

The reason why a lady needs to look good and feel good is so
that her life can be more gratifying. Hold on now. This isn't as
shallow as it sounds. And it doesn't conflict with what I said
above either. When you look good and you feel good you know it
and others know it too. And if you still don't believe or
understand what I mean, then think about this.

Think back to the last time you were in a room full of females.
Do you remember secretly (or along with your girlfriends) giving
each person the 30-second analysis based solely on appearance?
Don't shake your head and get all righteous; you know you did.

As you scanned the room, you could tell in a moment the women
who looked good and felt good. Their eyes seemed to sparkle,
their steps seemed a bit lighter, their words flowed a bit more
freely, and their overall appearance showed a keen attention to
detail.

The women who didn't look good or feel good were just the
opposite. The statements they made were full of negative
undertones, they had forgotten what their mothers told them
about proper posture, they needed someone to tell them NOT to go
out looking like that, and they were turning others away faster
than they were attracting them.

Which group sounds more like you?

Looking good and feeling good. You almost cannot do one without
doing the other. When you look good, you feel good. When you
feel good, you cannot help but look good.

How does a lady look good and feel good? It isn't hard and in
fact, looking good and feeling good has never been easier! It
doesn't matter whether you have a lot of time or just a little,
or a lot of money or just a little. Once you make looking good
and feeling good your number one goal, you'll be surprised at
how many different ways there are to accomplish this goal.

You can start working towards your goal right now just by
adopting good eating habits. Try loading up on the foods that
keep your energy levels constant rather than eating the foods
that temporarily spike your energy but then leave you feeling
tired and lethargic. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean
proteins and nuts are all excellent foods to work into your
diet. You might miss the junk food at first, but give your body
a chance and watch it thrive.

Once you've recovered from the dietary switch, try working in a
little exercise. Thirty minutes of moderate exercise 4 - 5 times
a week will go far towards helping you look good and feel good.
It might be hard at first to give up your couch for a pair of
jogging shoes, but after a few weeks, you'll find that you
actually look forward to this time of day.

Exercise has so many benefits. It'll help tone your body so even
if you don't lose weight, you'll look better and your clothes
will fit better. Exercise also is a great way to reduce stress.
If you're stressed or you know others who are, you know how much
older stress can make you look. Exercise improves your
circulation, and that's vital if you want your blood to
transport the vitamins and nutrients needed to help you look
good and feel good throughout your body. Improved circulation
helps your skin look suppler and your hair look shinier, too!

Changing your diet and incorporating exercise will go far
towards helping you look good and feel good. But wait, it
doesn't end there! Remember to enjoy yourself too!
